2010 Ruth Olive Beall Awards Honorees Announced

Since 2007, ACH has held the Ruth Olive Beall & Betty A. Lowe, MD Awards program which have become a cornerstone of physician recognition here at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. These awards are bestowed upon commendable physicians who strive to continuously honor the service and care standards set by our organization. There were a record number of nominations received this year which made the selection process very challenging for the Nominating Committee. After receiving these nominations we are proud to announce our outstanding 2010 Ruth Olive Beall Award honorees:



"Ruth Olive Beall Award" - Elizabeth A. Frazier, MD
An award of highest distinction, the "Ruth Olive Beall Award" honors a physician who consistently displays the ACH Service and Behavioral Standards.

"Drs. Joanna J. & Robert W. Seibert Award" - Joseph M. Elser, MD
Awarded to a physician, clinical service, section or unit displaying outstanding teamwork. It is named for physicians who epitomized and promoted teamwork at ACH.

"Dr. Tom Ed Townsend Award" - Horace Green, MD & the Children's Clinic of Pine Bluff.
Given to an Arkansas community physician or group that has provided excellence in pediatric health care and has been a consistent supporter of ACH.


The ACH Ruth Olive Beall Service and Honor Awards recognize the tireless efforts and dedication of our active medical staff members.  The 2010 Ruth Olive Beall Awards will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock (more information to follow).
 
The Ruth Olive Beall Service Awards will be given to members of the Active Medical Staff for years of service to ACH. These awards will range from 5 to 40 years of service. The service awards are named for physicians who have been instrumental to the growth and success of ACH.
