Intern Retreat
This 3 day and 2 night retreat is in September of the intern year.  Attendings and upper level residents cover services in the hospital, and the interns are allowed to escape for a memorable 48 hours!  The days are filled with team building events, activities directed at getting to know each other both personally and professionally, and free time to unwind and have fun.  For the past several years this event has been at a local 4H center in the foothills of the scenic Ouachita Mountains.  The center comes complete with a climbing wall, a ropes course, a swimming pool, a pond to canoe in, a bonfire location, and picnic facilities.  Interns have always raved about the retreat and its popularity gave rise to…

Second Year Retreat
Due to the popularity of the intern retreat, in 2008 the inaugural Second Year Retreat was created.  This retreat is 1 day and 1 night and is in May of the Second Year.  It is geared toward team building, but has similar activities as the intern retreat.  It was a hit this past year and so we plan to continue it in the years to come!
